True to its name, the pale purple flowers of Aromatic Aster are fragrant. The many-branched stems are hairy- as are the narrow leaves. This plant spreads by underground stolons –forming attractive mounded colonies. You may need to thin this plant back regularly; however, to keep it from dominating the garden.
